ALT+ characters

Using ALT and numeric numbers provide special characters. I tried to type certain numbers to get the result. It appears properly in this post, hope you are
able to see them properly.
In the days of DOS (no graphical interface like window, just plain text) it was way of creativity to create something from these ASCII characters. Fondness of this ASCII art is still surviving somewhere. Check this link , this site has used only ASCII characters, no graphic is used. It has very huge collection of ASCII art.
