****

Mera khayal hai yeh, hakikat si ho jaana tum,
meri bahaon mein aa kar so jana tum.
Apni khushboo se mere ghar ko mekhana tum,
phool palash ke chun lana tum.

Duniya ke nazaare swikaar nahi,
apni muskurahat se mujhe behlana tum.
Surkh ho jaye jab zindagi ki fiza,
phool palash ke chun lana tum.

Mausam basant ka jab bhi aayega,
apne aangan mein khushboo layega,
cheh chehati chidiya si gana tum,
Door gagan mein kahin udd jana tum,
Phool palash ke chun lana tum.

Jab bhi ho jaye udaas man mera,
mithi si baaton ko hothon pe rakh lana tum.
Aangan mein udte sukhe patton ko,
apne aanchal mein samet lana tum,
Phool palash ke chun lana tum.

Mere sapno ko tod kar na jana tum,
apne atoot rishte ka vishwaas,
Mere betaab dil ko de jana tum,
Phool palash ke yoon hi har baar chun lana tum.
****

Thanks a lot JV. But I don’t think this was the original song. Here it says “phool palash ke chun lana tum” but I think the original was “phool palash ke le aana tum”. Moreover, the starting line of that song was “Jab jab mere ghar aana tum”. I could be wrong though.

  2. JV Says:

Could be different version of this poem, or extended lines of the same poem used in different situation. I couln’nt find lyrics with same pharse as you mentioned.

Anyway, this is also good piece of poem.

i have a strong dislike for love poems these days… i guess bitterness is the nasty byproduct of heartbreak..

  4. JV Says:

Probably. Try some sad ghazals instead :)

  5. Ruchika Says:

but it’s no fun to be sad! i prefer senseless headbanger music or extremely loud punjabi music at the moment. :)

  6. JV Says:

    Sadness has its own beauty.

  7. Ruchika Says:

you can only sit in sadness for so long.. eventually it’s time to move on

  8. JV Says:

yest, but rest is necessary, sometime.

  9. SN Says:

    Hi JV,

The above poem Phool Palash Ke is not the title song of the serial Palash Ke Phool. This poem has been written by my husband Mr. Anupam Sakargayan. We were searching this poem from some time on the net as we could not locate it at the site he posted it. Finally we got it on your page. Thanks for the same.

    Regards,
    Aditi & Anupam

  15. JV Says:

@Aditi, thanks for pointing that out. I have admitted and again admit that I am not avid at hindi poems. Even I do not recall the source where I copied the poem. Thanks for your visit and input.

  16. Suhas Says:

Hi, thanks JV for posting the poem though it is not same as was the song. Thanks to Mr. Anupam Sakargayan too.
I am highly intersted in the title song of “Palash Ke Phool”. It was one of my favourite serial and the song i think there was 1 new para in each episode was so pleasant that i dont have words.

If somebody gets that song/link to it, I rquest to please post it here on net.
    Thanks in advance

i totally agree with you rakesh, i can also remember coming from school arount 2 pm and if one would turn on tv, though serials were so simple, characters were so real. today in india we have all sorts of tv channels but i still feel empty deep inside me. does anyone remember the characters in this serial. All i can remember now 3 main characters , the lead actor is paying guest or something and falls for this girl and this girl has a friends who is very bubbly and talkative and helps both of them get united or something that sorta. I can also remember the serenity on the face of the lead actress,a silent admirer.

  20. Jagdish Says:

Hi Rakesh & NovemberRain, by reading your posts I too missed my childhood days.. Today there are so many channels & TV serials with better graphics, better family drama.. but still I miss those old days.. After coming back from school watching the 2:00 to 3:00pm serials was really very comforting.. I still miss the serial Palash ke phool, I dont’ remember the story but the title song was something unforgettable.
Whenever I remember the lines “Jab jab mere ghar aana tum, phool palaash ke le aana” I feel different. These lines reminds me of pure, undemanding, and innocent love..

  21. cholkar Says:

palash ke phool, I think it’s a telecast of 1989..almost 19 years are gone….bus ek ajeeb si dastaan dil me hoti hai….jab kabhi oos gaane ki yaad aati hai…

    Hi Guys,

I was actually talking to a friend, named Palash today and I told him that I could remember blurred version of a song, that I saw in a very old TV Serial in Doordarshan. I do not remember if that was a Serial or a Tele Film. But what I remember are the first two lines:

Jab Jab Mere Ghar Aana Tum
Phool Palaash ke Le Aana Tum!

I remember the face of the actor - and his dress - in Dhoti - Kurta! What else? Nothing … and that Palash Tree, in their village, on the way to the girl’s house. I could not remember anything else. That was the time I was learning - TV, Hindi, Love etc! I was merely 7/8 years old that time! And the song is still in my soul! I cannot remember it - I cannot forget it. I can love it … only love it. Thats how it is…

    Thanks to you all!!
