It is 3:00 am and I am listening to this ghazal of Jagjit and Chitra Singh. Jagjit Singh is master of divine and deep voice. When he sings everything seems melting.
This ghazal , Manzil na de charag na de, superbly written by Rana Sahari. You can feel the despairing and the feeling of faintest hope at the horizon. The lyric goes something like this…

Manzil na de charag na de hosla to de,
tinke ke ka hi sahi tu magar aasara to de.
Maine ye kab kaha ke mere haq me ho jawaab,
lekin khamosh kyun hey tun koi faisla to de.
Barson mein tere naam par khata raha fareb,
mere khuda kahan hai tun apna pata to de.
Beshak mere naseeb par rakh apna ekhtiyar,
lekin mere naseeb main kya hai bata to de.

मंजिल न दे चराग न दे होसला तो दे,
तिनके के का ही सही तू मगर आसरा तो दे.
मैंने ये कब कहा के मेरे हक मी हो जवाब,
लेकिन खामोश क्यों हे तूं कोई फैसला तो दे.
बरसों में तेरे नाम पर खाता रह फरेब,
मेरे खुदा कहाँ है तूं अपना पता तो दे.
बेशक मेरे नसीब पर रख अपना इख्तियार,
लेकिन मेरे नसीब मैं क्या है बता तो दे.

i will leave a tsanslation for the ghazal, but rather than giving the literal meaning to the ghazals, i will leave the meaning he wants to say,,,,, here it goes

Dont give me the destination, dont show me the light, but let me have my courage to keep going,,,,, give me the nothing but the shelter of a tinka ( which literally means help me a bit, if only a bit)
Maine ye kab kaha ke mere haq me ho jawaab,

When did i ask you to give the answer in my favour, but why the silence, atleast tell me the answer
Barson mein tere naam par khata raha fareb,
mere khuda kahan hai tun apna pata to de.
For years i have been fooled ( by others ) in your name,
my God where are you, give me your address
Beshak mere naseeb par rakh apna ikhtiyar,
lekin mere naseeb main kya hai bata to de
you can keep control of my destiny , but atleast tell me whats there in my destiny
